Natalia Montoya is a Colombian artist born in Medellín, Colombia. She is currently living in Santa Barbara, California, USA. Her curiosity is focused on matter, color, and density. She generally works with fine layers of color and plays with different tools, such as a spatula or a brush, to achieve gradations. She wants to convey the joy and love that gives color to her soul and to the viewer. Currently, her work shows more of a combination of abstraction and texture, called mixed media. She has also painted flowers, still lifes, and landscapes that create the influence of impressionism. She works with oil, acrylic, plaster sculptures, body paints, and more. Natalia also offers contemporary calligraphy and craft workshops for children and adults.
